In the Grüner Leben column of Die Zeit is an article about the recycling of polyester and how it can be used for fashion. Only in 2009 there were 1.4 million tones of PET collected in Europe. Basically there are two ways of recycling polyester. There is a chemical way in which new fibers are produced out of polyesterfashion. Or you can recycle old PET-bottles and turn it into yarn. The good thing is, that fashion from polyester yarn can be reused again and again. By now almost the half of the collected PET bottles is turned into fibers. Die Zeit also writes about our collection from recycled polyester, they say it feels like silk. Zeit says it right, plastic bottles at your body become trendy!
