Lately, a lot is happening for JUX.
At the photo above you see Jitske and me finalizing the business plan for JUX at my home in March 2009. Since then, JUX got funded and received government support for our export plans to Japan. It turned out to be a pretty good business plan.

Jitske left for Nepal to develop a production available from July, 2009 and a sample collection for spring/summer 2010. Both collections will be presented when JUX opens the Awearness Fair Fashion Show at June 28 during the Biënnale in Arnhem. In addition, JUX will present the collections at thekey.to, which is the first fair in Berlin for green fashion, sustainable lifestyle & culture from July 1 to 4 2009.

From October 2008 to January 2009, two independent film makers visited Nepal to shoot a documentary about JUX. The documentary will show the contradiction of JUX as a Western high-fashion brand that produces its garments in a third world country. An exclusive preview will be on July 5 during the Biënnale in Arnhem.

I’m so excited! Everything seems to happen now we have the recources to let it happen. I’m busy making our plans reality. At first, we had a business plan. Right now, we have a business! And we have a goal: to show you that it is possible to be fashionable and do good at the same time.
